The Central Bank’s Monetary Board has decided to keep the annual licence fee structure for commercial and specialised banks unchanged for 2021 as well.

The move was after considering the possible adverse impact on licenced commercial and specialised banks due to the COVID-19 pandemic and extraordinary regulatory measures introduced by the Central Bank.

With the latest move, the licence fee structure for banks based on total assets has remained unchanged from 2019 onwards. Licence fee applicable for 2021 is due by 31 January 2021.
