New PM, Cabinet this evening

A new Prime Minister and Cabinet will be appointed this evening, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has told members of the Buddhist clergy who met him last evening.

It will be announced after he meets with party leaders who he has called for a meeting this morning.

He had said the new prime minister will be a person agreeable to all parties.
