New York Festivals AME Awards announced the addition of eight prominent executives that have joined the AME Advisory Council. The Council’s participation allows AME to be more responsive to changes and demands within the advertising/marketing sphere and their astute advice and combined industry expertise ensure continued wise council and a global perspective.
The 18-member Advisory Council, formed in 2019, is a brain trust of creative and strategic industry leaders representing five continents. They generously provide the competition with ongoing knowledge of emerging trends and critical industry insights. The Council’s participation allows AME to be more responsive to changes and demands within the advertising/marketing sphere and their astute advice and combined industry expertise ensure continued wise council and a global perspective.

“AME’s Advisory Council is represented by both agency, brand, organisational, and educational leaders who together ensure AME’s stature within the global community as a competition that showcases the most creative and measurable effective campaigns emanating from around the globe,” added Seminara Mandel.
Kandeban is the first Sri Lankan to be appointed on the New York Festival AME Awards Advisory Council which comprises an elite group of Innovative, award-winning, strategic, visionary, influential and prominent leaders who lend their creative insights, industry expertise, and global perspective to the New York Festival AME Awards.
Kandeban is an alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business School, MBA from Victoria University, Australia and an alumnus of the Creative Leadership Programme at Berlin School of Creative Leadership. He is also the Founder and CEO of Miami Ad School in Sri Lanka and Maldives, which is part of the Academics Group, Sri Lanka’s first cross-sector education think tank. World’s most awarded creative, advertising and social media school – Miami Ad School was launched in Sri Lanka in October 2020.
Kandeban was interviewed and twice featured by the Harvard Business School, and was also featured titled ‘Dreamer’ among selected young global leaders who are making a difference around the world. Kandee was listed among the 20 most inspiring young global leaders as part of #FutureChasers campaign by the Government of Australia, recognised by Austrade with the Australian Alumni Excellence Award for Business Administration and Leadership, Young Alumni Achiever Award winner of Victoria University, listed among 10 most influential young global leaders of Tamil Community by Canada based TC magazine, and he is the first Sri Lankan to be on the Grand Jury panel of New York Festival’s Radio Awards since 2012 and AME Awards for Marketing Effectiveness since 2018.
