Nushad Perera new SLSI Chairman

• CWE and Lak Sathosa also get new chairmen

Young business leader Nushad Perera has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) which comes under President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

The appointment is with effect from 1 January 2021.

Perera, who also recently stepped down as Chairman of the Cooperative Establishment (CWE), will relinquish duties as Chairman of Lak Sathosa on 31 December.

Separately, the Trade Ministry announced that Retired Rear Admiral Ananda Perera has been appointed as Chairman of Lak Sathosa and Venura Gunwardena as the Chairman of CWE.
