Over 15,000 PCR tests have been done on employees of Board of Investment (BOI) approved enterprises by the end of the weekend, State Minister of Aviation and Investment Zone Development D.V. Chanaka revealed yesterday.
He said these tests were done within the zones and outside, following the second wave of COVID-19 in the country.
In a statement the State Minister said PCR tests were done on workers in accordance to the Health Ministry guidelines. He said that the ministry is focused on ensuring the safety of the workforce as well as continuation of the production process. Additionally, all HR departments of the BOI factories have been instructed to update bio data of all their workers.
