Over 53,000 tourists in first 15 days of March

Sri Lanka has seen over 53,000 tourists in the first 15 days of March bringing the cumulative  figure to 232,089.

According to Sri Lanka Tourism data, there had been 53,255 visitors from 1-15 March whilst the figure was 178,834 in the first two months of 2022. 

Year to date most tourists (35,627) had come from India followed by Russian Federation (35,064), UK (23,702), Germany (18,295), Ukraine (13,273), France (12,285), Poland (9,388), Kazakhstan (6,354), Australia (5,440) and Canada (5,046).
