PUCSL approves 3-hour power cuts today

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) yesterday announced that the load shedding will be limited to three hours for all groups during today.

The three-hour power cuts will be imposed between 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today for all groups.

However, 30 minutes of unscheduled power shedding may take place, if ‘necessary only’ during the night peak to manage excess demand, PUCSL said.

Therefore, the PUCSL called on the electricity users to reduce consumption between 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. to avoid such unscheduled interruption during night times.
