Power and Energy Minister assures maximum support to industries

Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera yesterday assured to provide maximum facilities to boost industries contributing immensely to the national economy.

He made these observations during a discussion held with the Industries and Plantation Minister Dr. Ramesh Pathirana at the Power and Energy Ministry yesterday.

The Industries Ministry stated that individuals representing various industrial sectors presented the issues related to daily power cuts, electricity tariff revision and fuel to Minister Wijesekera during the discussion. 

They also shared the financial challenges faced by diverse industries, given the upwardly revised electricity tariff revision and difficulties they face to meet their production targets amidst the ongoing economic crisis. 

Minister Wijesekera said he will take maximum efforts to facilitate the industries by way of the power and energy sector.
