The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) yesterday said it has approved to increase l the scheduled power cut duration to three hours per day from today.
The three-hour daily load shedding will be effective till 3 July, given the fuel shortage and compulsory maintenance in the Norochcholai unit.
As per the new schedule, groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, and W will experience a one hour and 40 minutes power cut during daytime and one hour and 20 minutes during the night.
Groups M, N, O, X, Y, and Z will experience a three-hour power cut from 5 to 8 a.m. whilst group CC will have only a two-hour power cut from 6 to 8 a.m. (except on 2 and 3 July for both groups).
