Power cuts trim Parliament sitting to two days

Parliament sittings were reduced by two days in the wake of the ongoing fuel crisis, Leader of the House Dinesh Gunawardena said yesterday.

He said the four dates of scheduled settings will be reduced to two.

Parliament was to meet from Tuesday to Friday but the Business Committee of Parliament has decided to limit sittings to Tuesday and Wednesday.
