President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe held what insiders described as “fruitful meeting” last night aimed at resolving the political impasse besieging the Government.
The Daily FT learns Health Minister and Cabinet co-spokesman Dr. Rajitha Senaratne was also involved in the meeting midst widening discontent within the Government coalition and ahead of 4 April No Confidence Motion against the Premier.
