President Ranil Wickremesinghe
Presentation of the 2024 Budget report to Parliament is scheduled for today by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who also serves as the Minister of Finance.
Yesterday, the President engaged in a discussion about the preparation and delivery of the final stage of the budget at his official residence. He plans to outline measures to finance the Rs. 8 trillion expenditure envisaged for 2024.
In attendance were Ministers of State for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya and Shehan Semasinghe, Presidential Senior Adviser on National Security and Chief of Presidential Staff Sagala Ratnayaka,
