President meets China Merchants Group Chairman

China Merchants Group Chairman Miao Jianmin met with President Ranil Wickremesinghe on Saturday and discussed several major investments proposal.  As the single largest foreign investor in Sri Lanka, China Merchants Group has already invested $ 2 billion in Sri Lanka. “We are always “providing free charcoal in the snow” instead of “collecting rented-umbrellas in the rain”. We will further strengthen cooperation with local and foreign companies and make more contributions to Sri Lanka economic recovery,” said Chinese Embassy said in a tweet.
