President reviews sustainable energy plans with CEB officials

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake yesterday met with officials of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) for an in-depth discussion regarding a sustainable long-term strategy for the energy sector. 

During the meeting, energyconservation was also discussed. The President’s attention was drawn to the maintenance of uninterrupted power supply and the current and future prospects of the energy sector.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Power Kumara Jayakody, Ministry of Power Secretary Prof. K.T.M. Udayanga Hemapala, Ministry of Finance Secretary Mahinda Siriwardana, CEB Chairman Dr. Tilak Siyambalapitiya, and a group of CEB officials.
