Public Security Minister directs CID to probe threats against CoPF Chief

Following the allegations made by the Committee on Public Finance (CoPF) Chairman and MP Dr. Harsha de Silva that he is facing intimidation to halt the investigation into the new visa issuance process managed by VFS Global, Public Security Minister Tiran Alles has directed IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon to task the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to probe into the alleged threats.

During the Parliamentary session yesterday, Dr. de Silva revealed that he has been receiving threats to his life.
