The Plantation Industries Ministry has announced the appointment of Rajpal Obeyesekere as the new Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tea Board.
The appointment comes into effect from 4 October 2024. He succeeds Niraj de Mel who served as Chairman since June 2022.
Obeysekere brings in decades of experience in the private sector and has a long track record of innovative and diverse teams in different industries.
