S. B. Nawinna sworn in as Cabinet Minister

A Cabinet Minister and a Deputy Minister were sworn in before President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat a short while ago.

S. B. Nawinna was sworn in as Minister of Cultural Affairs, Internal Affairs and Regional Development while Batticaloa TNA Parliamentarian S. Viyalendiran was sworn in as Deputy Minister of Regional Development (Eastern Development).

S. B. Nawinna, who was the Treasurer of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), crossed over to the United National Party (UNP) in 2015.
