The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) has given an extra calendar month for listed companies to release their annual reports and interim results respectively for the financial year ended on 31 December 2020 and 31 March 2021.
The move is after considering representations made by the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) focusing on the inability of listed companies to release the annual reports and the financial statements in terms of the listing rules of the CSE under the prevailing situation relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The SEC directive is applicable to listed entities who are required to submit financial statements on or before 31 May 2021.
