SEC issues notice of caution on Wealthy Minds Academy over reckless conduct

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued a notice of caution on Wealthy Minds Academy Ltd., and two of its directors for their reckless conduct in disseminating information on social media platforms regarding certain securities listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange.

The directors are Rajapaksha Dunuge Kavinda Harith Rajapaksha and W.L.P. Thisura Wishwa Prabathiya Wijesinghe.

The SEC said the company’s and the two directors’ actions are an offence in terms of Section 131 (1) (c) of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka Act, No. 19 of 2021.
