SJB, SLFP, other political parties pledge support for democratic moves to oust GR

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), and the 43 Brigade led by MP Champika Ranawaka yesterday pledged support to any democratic means taken by the GoHomeGota activists to oust President Gotabaya Rajapaksa from office.

The pledge was made when a conference for the success of the struggle was held at the Ramada Hotel in Colombo which brought together Opposition political parties, civil organisations, trade unions and GoHomeGota activists for an all-party unity to win the non-partisan goals of the people’s struggle.

Among those who attended it were SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa, SLFP Leader and former President Maithripala Sirisena, MP Mano Ganesan and leaders of several other parties.

These activists presented several basic policy points which got unanimous support from everyone present.
