SJB has last laugh

It appears that the main Opposition Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is having the last laugh over the desperate move by the Government to reduce personal income tax after having said it cannot be done.

“When I kept saying it was possible to provide a middle class tax relief, the Government said no that can’t. When we tabled the calculation in Parliament they laughed. When we presented it in the SJB Blueprint3 now suddenly it is possible. Anyway glad our efforts have borne fruit,” SJB MP Dr. Harsha de Silva said in a post in X yesterday.
