Sri Lanka yesterday joined several other nations which have surpassed China’s death toll due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The Government yesterday announced 74 more people died of COVID bringing the total to 4,645.
China’s death toll remains at 4,636 with 93,193 cases of whom 87,400 have recovered.
US (613,000), Brazil (557,000) and India (425,000) have suffered most deaths due to COVID.
