SLASSCOM welcomes new leadership team for 2024/2025

The Chairman , Board of Directors and General Council for SLASSCOM for 2024/ 2025

The Sri Lanka Association of Software and Services Companies (SLASSCOM) recently appointed a dynamic new Board of Directors for the year 2024/2025. This powerhouse team of industry leaders is set to propel SLASSCOM into an exhilarating year filled with innovation, growth, and heightened global engagement.

Leading SLASSCOM as the newly appointed Chairman and bringing in extensive experience of spearheading large-scale, citizen-centered digital transformation initiatives aimed at national development, is Nishan Mendis, the current Technology & Transformation Leader, CIO, and member of the Leadership Team and Exco at Deloitte Sri Lanka and Maldives.

Accompanying Nishan are the two Vice Chairs: Shehani Seneviratne Chief Operating Officer at 99X as the 1st Vice Chair and Feroz Cader, Group Director LSEG as the 2nd Vice Chair.

Shehani Seneviratne has had a diverse and impressive career, where she has been actively involved with SLASSCOM, serving as a General Council Member, Head of the Quality Forum, and a founding member of the Women Technopreneur Forum, as well as being a board member. A passionate advocate for increasing female representation in IT, her dedication to empowering women in the tech industry has made her a beacon of inspiration. Feroz Cader has played a pivotal role in advancing technology at LSEG’s Financial Markets Infrastructure, driving efficiency and innovation. His career highlights his significant impact on the finance and technology sectors through tech-driven transformation.

Sampath Jayasundera Chief Executive Officer of hSenid Business Solutions & PeoplesHR joins the board as the Operational Director, bringing in a wealth of expertise and leadership to SLASSCOM, where his unwavering dedication to advancing the knowledge and innovation (IT&BPM) industry and fostering an environment of growth and innovation make him an invaluable asset to the association. Overseeing financial strategies and ensuring fiscal responsibility is Haridhu Abeygoonaratne, Managing Director at SimCentric Sri Lanka as the new Finance Director Haridhu, is a trailblazing entrepreneur whose brilliance and leadership have led to groundbreaking achievements in the tech landscape. His innovative vision and dynamic approach have set new benchmarks in the industry, making him a standout figure in tech innovation.

The board also includes industry stalwarts comprising of Shehan Selvanayagam, Founder of Loops Integrated, Sanjini Munaweera, the Regional Head South Asia at ADA Asia, Zahra Cader, ESG Leader, Government and Public Services Leader – Deloitte Sri Lanka and Maldives, Thilanka Jayasinghe, VP Human Resources, IFS, Bimal Gunapala, General Manager, Wiley, Dr.Upendra Peiris, Orel IT and Arjuna Sirinanda, CEO Fortude.
