Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) yesterday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with influential content creator ‘Nas Daily’ highlighting Sri Lanka’s appeal for tourism and investment.
On 26 June, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the production of a series of three videos in collaboration with Nas Daily. The collaboration was approved by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) Board, but since it is not a tender and a single person was being picked for his reach and views, the Minister sought Cabinet approval.
Under the Nas Daily banner, famed Israeli-Palestinian-Kittitian content creator and entrepreneur, Nuseir Yassin will create engaging content that showcases Sri Lanka’s unique offerings via three planned videos on ‘Waterfalls in Sri Lanka’, ‘The craziest train ride in Sri Lanka,’ and ‘Why invest in Sri Lanka?’.
Yassin arrived on last Friday on an invitation extended by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.
Taking to ‘X’, Tourism Minister Harin Fernando yesterday announced an agreement has been signed with ‘Nas Daily’ to produce three special videos promoting Sri Lanka Tourism.
The Minister said the collaboration between Nas Daily and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau presents an exciting opportunity to reach a global audience and position the country as an attractive destination for both tourists and investors.
In 2020, he released a video titled ‘The Most Generous Country during COVID’, which showcased the country’s resilience and compassion during challenging times. In addition, he has produced three videos on Sri Lanka titled; ‘This is Made of Poop’, ‘My Biggest Money Mistake’ and ‘The Key Board Warrior’.
“His videos can easily captivate around 25-35 million views. Through engaging storytelling and visually stunning content, Yassin’s videos have the potential to inspire curiosity and generate positive exposure for Sri Lanka’s natural beauty, rich culture, and investment potential,” he added.
With Nas Daily’s expertise in crafting captivating narratives and his extensive global following, Sri Lanka Tourism stands to benefit from the heightened visibility and positive perception generated by these videos.
