Sajith hammers Govt. over “first truthful statement”

Main Opposition Samagi Jana Balawegaya Leader and MP Sajith Premadasa has exposed what he described as the first admission of truth by the Government after its rebuttal to Fitch Ratings’ announcement on the downgrading

of Sri Lanka’s international sovereign rating. 

“The first truthful statement by #GoSL. @an_cabraal still think fitch ratings were unjustified?? Wake up and smell the pol sambol,” Premadasa tweeted in response to the Government’s original comment on Tuesday following the fuel hike. 

Co-Cabinet Spokesman Dullas Alahapperuma told the media briefing post-Cabinet meeting that “fuel prices were increased as a measure to address the foreign exchange crisis”.
