Simultaneous sign language interpretation of Budget

The 2022 Budget speech by Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa telecast live will be simultaneously translated into sign language. This will be the first time the National Budget will be simultaneously interpreted into sign language.

The decision was taken at the meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Business, which met with Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena presiding.

The Budget will be presented on 12 November at 2 p.m.
