Singer Sri Lanka onboards Piaggio vehicles to expand light automobiles offering

• Gets agency of iconic Piaggio Apé range of three-wheelers; to step up dual-purpose heavy-duty range running on diesel

Singer Sri Lanka PLC, is stepping up its foray into the light automobile market with the introduction of the range of diesel three-wheelers from Piaggio, the globally renowned Italian manufacturer.

The partnership also marks the official return of Piaggio to the Sri Lankan market. Known for its advanced engineering, rugged design, and fuel-efficient performance, Piaggio remains a respected name on Sri Lanka’s roads, with over 100,000 vehicles already in operation. Its versatile lineup—ranging from robust diesel-powered utility models to innovative electric alternatives—has earned global recognition and the trust of delivery fleets, transport services, and micro-entrepreneurs worldwide.

The Piaggio Apé is uniquely recognised as Sri Lanka’s only heavy-duty three-wheeler, built to endure the rigours of local terrain and commercial use.

The addition of dual purpose Piaggio three-wheelers adds to Singer’s existing portfolio of eBikes and 72 CC and 100 CC motorcycles.
