Speaker announces nominees to Committee on Economic Stabilisation

The Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana yesterday informed the House that Members have been nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve in the Committee on Economic Stabilisation.

Members have been appointed in terms of the provisions of Standing Order 123 of the Parliament and the motion agreed to by Parliament on 10 February.

The members are MPs Pavithradevi Wanniarachchi, Harin Fernando, Jeevan Thondaman, Shehan Semasinghe, Tharaka Balasuriya, C.B. Rathnayaka, Wimal Weerawansa, Namal Rajapaksha, (Dr.) Nalaka Godahewa, (Dr.) Sudarshini Fernandopulle, J. C. Alawathuwala, Sivagnanam Shritharan, Hector Appuhamy, Akila Ellawala, Waruna Liyanage have been nominated to the said Committee.
