Special 3-day holiday from today

The Government last night announced three days of special holiday except for employees of certain sectors. They are health, food supply, transport, essential services, banks and District and Divisional Secretaries.

The Government also requested the private sector to grant leave for its employees. Further extension or suspension of special holidays will be considered based on the progress of nationwide mitigation of coronavirus in the country.
