Sri Lanka Human Capital Summit 2024 in July

The Sri Lanka Human Capital Summit 2024, scheduled for 18 July at the ITC Ratnadipa Hotel is expected to bring together a host of experts from the region.

Former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison will be among a host of high profile speakers who will address the Sri Lanka Human Capital Summit 2024. President Ranil Wickremesinghe will inaugurate the summit and speak on ‘Sri Lanka as a Talent Capital’. 

Morrison will deliver a talk on ‘Human Capital Development as a key driver for inclusive and sustainable development - the Australian experience’. 

Morrison served as the 30th prime minister of Australia from 2018 to 2022, holding office as leader of the Liberal Party of Australia. 

The summit is a public-private collaboration organised by the BOI, Association of Human Resource Professionals (HRP), KPMG, Deloitte, ICCSL, CIMA , EFC and Daily FT in collaboration with several other partners.

The last summit was held in 2016 and was inaugurated by President Ranil Wickramasinghe as Prime Minister. Dr. Abdul Kadir, the Chief Minister of Perak State, Malaysia, Now Minister of Higher Education and Shri K. T Rama Rao, Minister for IT and Urban Development, Government of Telangana, was among a host of high profile speakers who addressed the Sri Lanka Human Capital Summit in 2016.

The key objective of the Sri Lanka Human Capital Summit is to deliberate and identify human capital opportunities in order to develop a National Agenda that will in turn support Sri Lanka’s growth sectors. Participants will include public and private sector organisations, multilateral organisations, institutions and informal work groups who will work in collaboration with the organisers and the Association of Human Resource Professionals.
