Labour and Foreign Employment Ministry yesterday launched the first-ever regional handbook on reintegration of migrant workers in the South Asian region. This comprehensive guide developed in collaboration with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), marks a crucial step towards strengthening effective reintegration strategies for migrant workers across the South Asian region. The manual was presented to the governments of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Pakistan with the presence of Labour and Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara, IOM Chief of Mission Sarat Dash, ILO Country Director Simrin Singh and UN Women Program Specialist Nansiri Iamsuk.
