SriLankan receives 8,000 cabin crew applications

SriLankan Airlines yesterday announced that it has received close to 8,000 applications in response to the cabin crew vacancies advertised by the national carrier recently. The airline had received this overwhelming response despite plans to hire only a fraction of this number, aiming to recruit between 200 to 300 new cabin crew members.

The unexpected response forced the airline to reschedule interviews to two sessions. While the first session was held yesterday at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference, the second session will be held on 5 August, the airline announced.
