TIME magazine names Trump as Person of the Year 2024

Famous magazine TIME has named Donald Trump as the Person of the Year 2024 following his impending return as the US President.

It identified Trump as “a once and future President whose influence dominated” in 2024. The magazine said “we are ‘living in the Age of Trump’ as US President-elect outlines mass deportation and foreign policy plans”. It also said “perhaps no single individual has played a larger role in changing the course of politics and history” than the United States President-elect following his victory on 5 November US election.

The magazine in its 30 December 2024 issue also named US multinational semiconductor and tech company AMD leader Lisa Su as the TIME CEO of the Year, musician and singer Elton John as Icon of the Year and basketball star Caitlin Clark as Athlete of the Year.
