Some of the members of the healing group
In Healers Beyond Borders there is no medication involved and the channel between the healer and the patient is purely the energy of consciousness and its magnetic force in connecting with the universal mind of healing; within and beyond the self

Knowledge. Where does it begin, where does it end?
Where does consciousness begin and where does it end?
Can the human mind be the pavement leading to the gateway of actualising an energy centre of the universe in a manner that hitherto accepted models of education cannot fathom.
Where does ‘sickness’ originate from?
What are its strengths and what are its weaknesses?
Is the human consciousness limited to the body or can it mirror the vast and infinite expanse of the universe and its energy?
Does the credibility of ‘knowledge’ weaken if it is not taught in a brick structure and certified by a piece of paper?
These are some of the thoughts that a thinking mind could generate when they hear the story of Annette Muller of Germany, and the individual as well as collective stories of over thirty nature ‘healers’, mostly from Germany but also from diverse western nations.
They hail from that general region on planet earth where western science reigns supreme, Europe. All these healers who use only their universe-linked consciousness of pure intention as the ‘medicine’ have their individual stories of how and why they moved away from the mainstream medical system of the modern world.
Healers Beyond Borders
Healers Beyond Borders, as this group of energy healers call themselves have visited Sri Lanka to conduct a ten day free healing camp at the Light of Asia in Sama Mawatha, Pelawatte, Battaramulla, beginning formally on 8 January and continuing till 18.
Healers Beyond Borders have conducted their free healing workshops mostly in European countries and their visit to Sri Lanka was facilitated by one of their acquaintances and then assisted unconditionally by Naveen Gunaratne and hosted at the Light of Asia founded by him in Pelawatte, Battaramulla.
When asked his motivation for this he said that the ‘light’ is free and hence he provided the Light of Asia space to support this wonderful initiative. Naveen Gunaratane is generally known for his penchant for holistic initiatives having helped support traditional medicine and its practitioners during the COVID pandemic, creating at the time also a connecting point between practitioners of indigenous and western medical systems through diverse programs.
He has now provided space for Healers Beyond Borders to be represented in Sri Lanka and carry out their humanistic mission.
In Healers Beyond Borders there is no medication involved and the channel between the healer and the patient is purely the energy of consciousness and its magnetic force in connecting with the universal mind of healing; within and beyond the self.
We state the words of Annette Muller, a publisher and writer who founded Healers Beyond Borders.
After a car crash nearly 20 years ago she was told by the foremost and senior most western medical experts in Germany that at best, she would survive in a wheelchair with none of her nerves working and thereby akin to being dead although technically ‘alive.’ At worst, it was thought whatever that was functioning in her body would give way soon and her life ceased to be. This was supposed to be a medical fact due to the seriousness of the impact on her spinal cord that severed the internal nerve link between the neck and the spine (in terms of a basic laymen description).
At a press conference held on Thursday to introduce their work to the world, she shared with the Sri Lankan media a glimpse of her actual experiences in the past 20 years.
“We are all children of nature. We are loved by nature. Suffering in the world is created by humans, not nature. When we hurt another we hurt ourselves and we feed sickness. Healing originates with establishing peace within self and illuminating that peace to the ether.
Amazing Grace system of healing
“We call ourselves Healers Beyond Borders and the method of this healing is called Amazing Grace. This has nothing to do with any religion. We work purely with the true love of nature and that of our hearts.
“We conduct healing camps and training all over the world and this is our first time in Sri Lanka,” Annette explained.
Healers Beyond Borders consists of professionals from a range of disciplines most of them being around mid-age they spend their life savings and financial resources to travel around the world conducting their healing workshops and thus remain totally independent. This means they are not funded by any entity although persons such as Naveen, convinced of the purpose of their work and the importance of the message they spread may support it voluntarily.
Most members of Healers Beyond Borders also have successful careers in their own professions and manage their dedication to both their work as well as their mission of healing.
Anyone who has connected their inner consciousness to nature, to the earth, trees, the sun and sky in everyday life or in the many interweaving moments where healings in different forms are needed, may understand that channeling the human mind is done not in synthetic isolation but with the realisation of the wonderful healing machine the body is when it is merged with its home, the universe
Asked to explain about the choosing the term Amazing Grace to describe their healing method, it was clarified that it does not allude to any ‘Christianness,’ keeping in mind that Amazing Grace is a Christian hymn. However, the lyrics can resonate with anyone who has surmounted great challenges and taken back their grip on life.
The inner ‘religious’ convictions of the healers, if any, are kept within the private territories of their cultural traditions and have nothing to do with the basis or framework of their healing.
Thus, it should be clarified that although originating from Christian nations it is not to be confused with Christian evangelical ‘healings,’ (with due respect to those categories of healing conducted through the identification with dogmatic belief or a particular religious figure).
“After being in no man’s land of unimaginable hopelessness I spent about two years travelling with great difficulty to many countries in Europe where there were teachers who had knowledge of using their consciousness and the universal energy for normalising the energy of the human ecosystem. They were from many traditions, following which I collectively put together a combination of using my consciousness to resonate with the love that nature extends to us and thus developed the Amazing Grace system of healing, encompassing the immense and amazing grace of all of this universe,” explained Annette. In fact there are linguistic barriers to explain the network of phenomena that merge to create healing in the fractures of our mind, heart, body and perceptions which then in totality heal our inner wound and the wounds of illness.
Her passion as she further emphasises is to empower people to expand their consciousness to infinite limits so that they can heal themselves.
She has published the books, Blazing Trails of Miracles and Amazing Grace – Miraculous Healing Alchemy and co-produced with Sharon Stone a documentary titled, The Cure featuring herself with Deepak Chopra on the healing of the mind and the body.
Her school of Healing in Germany Ecole San Esprit brings together figures of the world of healing, science and evolution of consciousness, and the experts the school has worked with include, Rupert Sheldrake, Dr. Yasuyuki Nemoto, Dr. Ruediger Dahlke and filmmaker Emmanuel Itier. Annette and her school has so far trained around 400 healers across the world on how to harness the energy of the universe towards the inner human machinery that may have had a malfunction. Rather than wage an attack on western medicine, these healers do the opposite by helping science based medical practitioners see the middle ground in not alienating nature and the immense potential of the mind in saving its vehicle, the body, in times of great need.
So how did the healers who arrived in Sri Lanka come together in their part of the world?
Mostly it is by word of mouth where someone who is sick and has lost hope in the established method of curing asks around for alternatives, possibilities, often turning to nature as the last resort.
“Actually in my case it was my cat that she cured,” laughs Robbin Johnson originally from California but who spends most of her time in Spain.
The healing on her cat that had been ailing from a bone dislocation and in grave pain, saw her bones being ‘put in order’ in less than 15 minutes of the energy healing. Robbin has since, for the past decade or so been with Annette and her team, having studied the methods that Annette has chosen from her vast and solitary experience once facing the impossible, curing herself when it was deemed impossible.
Readers who are familiar with energy healing such as pranic healing and reiki (and a range of other routes through the human mind/heart) may understand some of the dynamics at play that include long distant healing. In Sinhala such healing is referred to as cures done through the Vishwa Balaya (summoning power of the universe).
Anyone who has connected their inner consciousness to nature, to the earth, trees, the sun and sky in everyday life or in the many interweaving moments where healings in different forms are needed, may understand that channeling the human mind is done not in synthetic isolation but with the realisation of the wonderful healing machine the body is when it is merged with its home, the universe.
In the many literature available in the world on the body healing itself, it is basic knowledge that rancour, anger, guilt, jealousy, envy, ego and rigid views are the seeds of disease helping the body to corrode itself and these are the factors that prevent the human from being their truest potential
What we noted when observing Annette’s team is how vibrant their smiles are and unambiguous their gaze.
In the many literature available in the world on the body healing itself, it is basic knowledge that rancour, anger, guilt, jealousy, envy, ego and rigid views are the seeds of disease helping the body to corrode itself and these are the factors that prevent the human from being their truest potential. However, for most people in this modern ultra-developed technology such explanations may seem a bit .., say, ‘cuckoo.’
This was the case for Annette Bokpe, in the travel and tour operating business and who had known Annette Muller for some time but lived in a distant location in Germany.
“She was an acquaintance and I used to hear from her on and off. After some time I lost contact and then I heard of her accident. When I finally could speak to her properly about four years later she told me she was practising healing and that maybe I should learn it too.”
“I was horrified,” laughs Annette Bokpe, and says:
“I thought she had really taken leave of her senses and I had no intention in keeping in touch further. I really thought she was crazy. Then maybe a few months after a personal tragedy – someone our family was close to having a nerve death and was immobile in a coma. He eventually died but at the latest possible stage just before his death, Annette did a distant healing and his hand that was stone cold, began to become warm and clenched.
“When I asked a medical expert at the hospital he said it was impossible and it could not have happened as in the condition the man was in, it is almost as if the body is fully dead and acts just as a dead person. It was not possible for the body to generate heat and for the immobile palm to clench itself. But this was a fact and I deeply regretted that I did not think of Annette and her healing earlier. This patient could be alive, if so. This was the turning point and since then there is no turning back. I am fully involved in this mission now.”
There is a quality in evolved beings who can generally be healers where their gaze is powerful and this was something that particularly struck me with Annette Bokpe as with all the other healers.
Unmistakable vibe of pure joy and relaxation
There is an unmistakable vibe of pure joy and relaxation they exude such as when veteran photographer Jean Marie Bottequin also from Germany, armed with his camera asks me if I need any photographs of the media conference event and then quips that he excels at face reading and goes on to ‘read my face!”
“I am more into full time healing now and I go all over the world with Annette and her team but with my camera of course,” he chuckles.
He then gives me his card with a flair like a magician plucking a rabbit from a top hat and wanders off to speak to some of the other journalists.
In the preoccupation of living life what we have generally lost is the exuberance. If we are to regain our inner strength, what seems apparent when we observe these healers is that we have to love ourselves first and mirror that love to the planet and each other.
In explaining their work to the media the team played a documentary of some of the healings featuring cases of serious issues such as consistent pain caused by limb dysfunctions. What is seen in the visuals were of the healers using concentration with a constant smile emanating from an inner dimension and using their hands to lightly touch the patient. The reaction of the patient, in what we saw in the documentary was of someone who was unable to walk without pain, who seemed to get a genuine relief soon after the hands on healing.
The discussion with Annette and her team was in the backdrop of their press briefing and although I did arrive early to get more information as provided above, it is still not sufficient to go into the vast depths of the subject of natural healing. One of the points not covered adequately was how long the healing lasts. It is possible that the healers would provide their patients guidelines on how to continue to energise themselves consistently as these healers do.
The Harmony page that has dedicated the past five years to integrate knowledge from interconnected disciplines to see the unifying and holistic intersection of understanding hopes to provide more actual insights on the healing camp due to commence on 8 January at the Light of Asia, Sama Mawatha, Pelawatte, Battaramulla from 9 am to 12 noon. Hence, we will be in a better position to write with even more clarity the factual outcomes of these healing sessions.
Those interested in reserving space in the healing camps may call Namal 077 059 4006 for appointments or arrive at the venue between 9am and 12 noon from 8 to 18 January. It is reiterated that all the healings are totally free and the healers do not financially benefit from this endeavour.
