Hayleys yesterday announced the appointment of Timothy Speldewinde as a Non-Executive Independent Director with effect from 3 January 2024.

Speldewinde is a Fellow Member of CA Sri Lanka and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.

He was the former CEO of Stretchline Holdings headquartered in Hong Kong, with manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka and overseas.

He possesses wide experience in managing local as well as international facilities and has been an integral member of the MAS Group for over 26 years.

Speldewinde is a Consultant to the Board of MAS Holdings Ltd., and currently serves on the Boards of Kingsbury, Horana Plantations and WealthTrust Securities Ltd., as audit committee Chairman. He is also a Director of Contemporary Ceylon Ltd., Speldewinde holds 5,000 shares in the company as at date.

With the latest appointment, the Board of Directors of Hayleys comprises Mohan Pandithage (Chairman and CEO), S.C. Ganegoda, H.S.R. Kariyawasam, H. Cabral, L.R.V. Waidyaratne, M.H. Jamaldeen, M.Y.A. Perera, J. Dharmasena, R.J. Karunarajah, K.D.G. Gunaratne and T.A.B. Speldewinde.
