Tourism and hospitality industry stakeholders take to the streets

Tourism and hospitality industry stakeholders protest against the economic and political crisis, outside the the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) office in Colombo. The industry demands included protecting people’s jobs, ensuring uninterrupted supply of LPG, fuel, power and access to social media, abolishment of the 20th Amendment, ensuring freedom of speech, protecting the Tourism Act, appointing competent and credible people to make economic decisions, eradicating corruption, removing Emergency Rule, ensuring justice and accountability, protecting human rights, the livelihoods of 2 million Sri Lankans, appointing a competent Chairperson to Sri Lanka Tourism, etc.
