UK Trade Envoy for Sri Lanka, Lord Davies of Abersoch has arrived in Colombo for a three-day visit, the British High Commission in Sri Lanka said.
Lord Davies will meet a range of business and government stakeholders with a view to expand trade opportunities, the High Commission said.
Lord Davies will also support the mutual growth of the UK-Sri Lanka economic partnership, it added.
Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson appointed Lord Davies of Abersoch as the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy for Sri Lanka in 2020.
Lord Davies in his role is expected to support the UK’s trade and investment promotion objectives through high-level access to Sri Lankan and UK stakeholders, opening doors for UK businesses to catalyse deals that will bring benefits to both countries.
