UNESCO Director General in SL next week

The Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Audrey Azoulay will visit Sri Lanka from 16 to 19 July 2024 at the invitation of the Government of Sri Lanka.

During the visit, Director-General Azoulay will call on President Ranil Wickremesinghe and will have meetings with Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha and Actg. Minister of Foreign Affairs Tharaka Balasuriya. She will take part at the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Sri Lanka’s Membership of UNESCO at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre and travel to UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
