US firm gets contract for Automated Crew Scheduling and Resource Management System

A US-based CAE Flight Service has been awarded a five-year contract to provide the Automated Crew Scheduling and Resource Management System for SriLankan Airlines.

The proposal to this effect submitted by Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva was approved by the Cabinet Ministers on Monday.

“Commercial airlines around the world operate Automated Crew Scheduling and Resource Management Systems. The contract period of the current system of SriLankan Airlines will end on 31 October 2022,” a statement comprising weekly Cabinet decisions issued by the Government Information Department noted.

It also added that the company was selected following the international competitive bidding system recommended by the Standing Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers.
