YTD foreign inflows to Govt. securities dip; rise at CSE

Marking a net inflow for the second consecutive month in 2024, foreign investments in the Government securities market recorded a net inflow of $ 20 million in November 2024, according to the Central Bank.

However, cumulative foreign investments in the Government securities market recorded a net outflow of $ 197 million during January-November 2024.

Foreign flows to the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), including both primary and secondary market transactions, recorded a net outflow of $ 11 million in November 2024 despite recording a cumulative net inflow of $ 35 million during January-November 2024.
