Activists Ruki Fernando and Father Praveen Mahesan were released by the TID at 11 p.m. yesterday, 48 hour after their detention in Kilinochchi on Sunday night.
Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana confirmed to Daily FT about one hour before that the TID may conclude its investigations before the detainees needed to be produced before court.
