Anura quits from TFC Board

Anura Fernando has resigned from the Board of The Finance Company Plc with effect from 12 June.

Fernando, an Independent Non Executive Director was in the consortium of sellers of TFC shares to NSB though his block was only 50,000 shares.

He has also resigned from the City Housing and Real Estate Co Plc.

Fernando was among those handpicked by Central Bank Chief Nivard Cabraal when the TFC Board was reconstituted late last year.

Fernando is a businessman with around 30 years experience and presently Anura Fernando is the Managing Director of East Asia Tech Consultants Ltd.

He was the Managing Director of Lanka Transporters Ltd., Managing Director of Globe Investments Ltd., an import-export oriented company, and the Chairman of Ferntea Ltd., which is a public listed company. He was also a Director of Capital Reach Leasing Ltd.
