Bilateral ties with Switzerland strengthen further - President

President Mahinda Rajapaksa stated that the Sri Lanka and Switzerland should further strengthen bilateral ties. He said this when Ambassador of Switzerland to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Mr. Thomas Litscher, called on President Rajapaksa, this week at Temple Trees. Reciprocating to the President’s views, Ambassador Litscher said relations between the two countries are developing well and recently, there has been growing interest from small and medium enterprises. Sri Lanka and Switzerland established diplomatic relations in 1956. Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris and Secretary to the Ministry of External Affairs Mrs. Kshenuka Senewiratne were present during the discussion.
