Cairn India yesterday confirmed that it has submitted a bid for a new block in Mannar Basin in November 2013.
This disclosure was contained in the company’s third quarter interim results statement released yesterday.
“Cairn is in appraisal planning and commercial discussions with the Sri Lankan Government to monetize the discovered gas resources. In addition to this, Cairn has also submitted a bid for a block in Mannar Basin in November 2013,” the company said.
Cairn India is one of the 20 largest independent oil exploration and production companies in the world.
