China promises Rs. 44 b additional support to SL

China has pledged to extend additional financial support of yuan 2 billion (around Rs. 44 billion) on top of the yuan 400 million committed between 2018 and 2020.

This assurance was pledged by Chinese President Xi Jinping during a bilateral meeting with visiting Sri Lankan Premier Ranil Wickremesinghe in Beijing yesterday.
