CMA Sri Lanka admitted as member of world accounting body IFAC

The CMA Sri Lanka has been admitted as a Member of the International Federation of Accountants the global body for professional accountants at the Council Meeting attended by 106 members held in Rome Italy last week.
The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) which is global body for professional Accountants spread over 130 countries comprising 170 Members and Associates and representing over 2.5 million professional accountants in public practice, industry, service and commerce, Government and education.
CMA Sri Lanka was set up in 1999 and was launched in June 2000 was incorporated by an Act of Parliament in 2009 and is a member of the South Asian Federation of Accountants.
CMA Sri Lanka President Prof. Lakshman R Watawala is attending the World Congress of Accountants from 10 to 14 November in Rome.
