Colonial Motors Ceylon takes over motor operations

Colonial Motors (Ceylon) Ltd., the agents for Mazda, has taken over the entire motor vehicle business of the parent company Colonial Motors PLC. The segregation of business is keeping in line with synergies of the 100% owned subsidiary, Colonial Motors Ceylon Ltd. The Parent Company Colonial Motors PLC will continue operations as a property holding and investment Company and continue to be listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange. Since taking over the Mazda brand, Colonial Motors Ceylon has been able to grow the brand significantly, with sales surpassing 200 units. The company also boasts of a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly workshop conforming to Japanese standards and equipped with renewable energy sources, facilities for re-cycling of all waste water, sound proof body shops and special tooling for the SkyActiv technology engines. Colonial Motors Ceylon also ensures excellent after care with a well stocked inventory of spare parts readily available to customers. Mazda in Sri Lanka is represented by Colonial Motors (Ceylon) Ltd. Customers can visit the Mazda showroom at 297 Union Place, Colombo 2, and view all Mazda SkyActiv models on display.
