Dhammika sheds Executive Chairman role at LB Finance

Business leader Dhammika Perera has shed his Executive Chairman role at LB Finance Plc to become Executive Deputy Chairman.

Top professional Lalith de S. Wijeyeratne has been appointed as Acting Chairman of the company, which is a leading finance company. He was previously Deputy Chairman.

Analysts viewed the post and the term Executive Deputy Chairman as rare or the executive aspect isn’t emphasised, but at Vallibel Group companies it is not new.

At Vallibel One Plc, which holds some of Dhammika’s strategic investments, his friend Nimal Perera functions as Executive Deputy Chairman.

LB Finance’s controlling shareholder is Vallibel One.

Following the changes, the LB Finance Board of Directors comprises L.N. de S. Wijeyeratne (Acting Chairman), K.D.D. Perera (Executive Deputy Chairman), J.A.S.S. Adhihetty (Managing Director), K.D.A. Perera, A.M. Weerasinghe, N. Udage (Executive Director), K. Fernando, St. B.D. Auburn Perera (Executive Director), W.D.N.H. Perera and S. Jayasekara.
