  • Dials key deal to offer inflight data, voice and SMS with special rates for FlySmiLes Dialog members
Sri Lanka’s premier telecommunications service provider Dialog Axiata took to the skies with national carrier SriLankan Airlines as it took delivery of a new Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with the provision of on-board connectivity including voice, SMS and data services to Dialog customers. The first of SriLankan Airlines’ seven new Airbus 330-300s on order landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport last Friday 31 October from Toulouse, France as the national carrier commenced its fleet renewal program, which will also include the introduction of eight new generation Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The inflight connectivity service is available to all Dialog customers (post-paid and pre-paid) and includes a special data plan providing 1MB of data for just Rs. 65, up to 20MB, enabling seamless access to internet and email inflight. Standard rates will apply thereafter. Dialog’s post-paid customers are also provided the option of earning FlySmiLes frequent flyer miles in proportion to their consumption of roaming services. Dialog, a long-standing partner of the national carrier and its frequent flyer program FlySmiLes, will celebrate the arrival of the new aircraft with a bonanza for FlySmiLes Gold and Platinum members and Gold and Platinum Card members of Dialog’s Club Vision loyalty program. These Premier Tier members of Dialog and SriLankan Airlines respectively will enjoy 20 MB of data connectivity absolutely free on the new aircraft for the first three months from launch of commercial flights. Customers who wish to avail themselves of this special benefit are required to pre-register with membership details by dialing #131# and follow instructions on the ‘UL Inflight’ menu option. Dialog together with SriLankan joined hands with renowned global in-flight connectivity solutions provider, On Air, to enable its customers to stay connected throughout their journey. All post and pre-paid customers of Dialog can avail of the in-flight connectivity services when they fly on the brand new Airbus aircraft introduced by Sri Lankan. Dialog has partnered with the national carrier in offering FlySmiLes miles to its post-paid subscribers under the airline’s frequent-flyer programme. All Dialog post-paid subscribers who subscribe for the programme qualify to earn miles based on their bill value. Caption
