Dr. PB to talk on contemporary thrust of development strategy today

Treasury Secretary Dr. P.B. Jayasundera will today share some key insights into the contemporary thrust of Sri Lanka’s development strategy at the Dr. W.M. Tilakaratna Memorial Oration at 4 p.m. at the 6th Floor Auditorium of MILODA – Academy of Financial Studies, Bristol Street, Colombo 1. The event will also see the launch of the Dr. W.M. Tilakaratna Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Dr. W.M. Tilakaratna was an eminent economist and was a model public servant who maintained the highest standards expected from a public servant. He made valuable contributions towards the economic transformation of the country both as Senior Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and as the Secretary to the Treasury.
The Memorial Scholarship Fund that will be set up is a fitting tribute to a gentleman who brought prestige to the public service and cared for the wellbeing of the young.
